ARSENAL VS PORTO LIVE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE BETTING TIPS

We’re just a short time away from kick-off in a very important match for the Gunners. I have a feeling that his match is definitely one for the in-play punters and William Hill always unleashes a solid live-betting experience on every Champions League fixture, particularly those involving English teams.
I’m confident that Arsenal are going to try to get forward and get that early goal in the opening few minutes and if Arsenal can do that, then it’s game on. I think things get a bit tricky if we’re in the 30th minute or so and Porto are all over Arsenal. Their defence really needs to step up today and, without Cesc Fabregas available, they will need someone to orchestrate their midfield appropriately. I’m just unsure of who is going to step up and I’m tempted to wait to bet on this one, until I’ve watched things unfold for the first few minutes.

Arsenal are trading at 8/13 to win while Porto are a solid 5/1. The draw is 13/5 and if you fancy a draw in this match, then you’re basically backing Porto.
Basically, Arsenal either need to keep a clean sheet and score 1 or they need to score at least three if Porto score one. There are a lot of different permutations here and a 2-1 score-line sending us to extra time wouldn’t surprise me at all. I don’t know if Arsenal can score three goals without their talisman Fabregas or the attacking skill of Robin Van Persie. If you think Nicklas Bendtner is up to the task, then you should be backing Arsenal to win.
I’ve already pin-pointed the Gunners defence as their potential trump cards and I wouldn’t put it past Thomas Vermaelen to pop up at just the right time to get a goal, possibly from a set-piece. I know that they likely won’t start pushing forward in big numbers until the second half, but from a dead-ball situation Arsenal can put Porto to the sword.
Theo Walcott is listed at 9/4 to score anytime and, with the pressure he’s been under, I think he could very well play his socks off tonight. He had a good performance at the weekend and could follow it up with a match-winning contribution today. A Walcott goal would send Gunners fans into raptures. William Gallas is also worth looking at with a 7/1 price to score anytime.
Be sure to always be betting two moves ahead when you’re betting live, that way you’ll be able to maximize value. I think Arsenal should be able to pull this off, but I don’t know if they can defend a 1-0 lead for 90 minutes. They will need to get two and, frankly, I think can do it if their defence gets a bit offensive-minded.
