ASTON VILLA VS LIVERPOOL PREMIER LEAGUE BETTING TIPS
We've got two contrasting sides meeting up today for a Premiership clash and, thanks to that, we have some really enticing odds available from the good folks over at Blue Square. You'll find Liverpool listed at 7/5 to notch an away victory and Aston Villa listed at a straight 2/1 for the win. The draw garners an 11/5 price and you really have to classify this one as a six-pointer as both of these sides are contesting the coveted fourth spot in the league- which will ensure Champions League qualification. Liverpool really have their backs to the wall now with Fernando Torres stating that he will likely leave the Reds should they fail to qualify for Europe's biggest competition. While that may not be akin to Steven Gerrard packing his bags, it is definitely close with Torres considered 'Pool's striking Talisman. He's adapted well to the Premier League and will likely fetch a high price from any other members of the big four. United reportedly had a bid for him turned down over the summer while you know that Manchester City will likely offer up a nine-figure sum for the Spainiard. Although its pretty safe to say that they won't be in the Champions League next year. Speaking of Torres, he is listed at 11/8 to score anytime. He hasn't gotten on the scoresheet in a while and I think he's due to knock one in today simply because of the law of averages. Villa's best optyion remains Gabriel Agbonlahor and he's lsited at 13/8 to score anytime and a whopping 28/1 to score in both halves. In terms of the correct score betting, the favoured option remains a 1-1 draw at 6/1. Pool 1-0 pays out at 7/1 while Villa 1-0 is listed at 15/2. A 2-1 result to Villa will pay out at 11/1 while 2-1 to the Reds carries a 9/1 price. I don't really see a goal-feast here and I think that the result could be decided by an error or an own goal. A penalty isn't out of the question either. If you're looking to back the Reds, you've still got plenty of value to play with, but my suggestion is Liverpool win/Torres to score @ 7/2. My tip for Villa fans (or anti-Liverpool punters) would likely be Villa 2-1 @ 11/1. I think the draw is the safe option for the neutrals and its well-priced at Blue Square. I would go so far as to declare this a must-win fixture for Liverpool.
