ATP FRENCH OPEN BETTINGTIPS – SODERLING AND TSONGA HIGHLIGHT

Sweden’s Robin Soderling opens day 4 action on Suzanne Lenglen when he takes on American Taylor Dent and Tsonga and Ouanna follow afterwards in an all-French affair; what will be a back-to-back riveting, second round show in Paris that you will not want to miss.
 William Hill has released a veritable buffet of tennis betting lines and odds on Soderling vs. Dent and Tsonga vs. Ouanna. Naturally, Soderling and Tsonga, Top 10 pretenders, are the favourites to advance.
Soderling cruised in his opening round match against Laurent Recourdec 6-0, 6-2, 6-3, and because the manner of his victory was so convincing he has set himself up well for Dent in the market and sparked confidence in those looking to back him.

Tsonga on the other hand had a tough time in his Paris opener, needing five sets to advance over Daniel Brands, 4-6,6-3, 6-2, 6-7(2), 7-5. Though Tsonga was unfazed after his opener, the sentiment wasn’t shared by punters, backers and experts alike. A bit unsettled where he is concerned they are right now, for his next match – and for the rest of the tournament.
Soderling enters his match as the 1/25 favourite while Taylor Dent is a 9/1 puppy. Few believe Soderling will replicate his 2009 Paris adventure but Soderling has always danced to his own beat so watch his space.
Certainly he is off to a flying start, the best start possible and making quite the statement.  That Dent is standing in his way of a third round spot shouldn’t be a problem. A stumbling block the American isn’t and Soderling should clear past him easily.
The Française affair between Tsonga and Ouanna has the former more so than the latter’s fans in a tizz. Tsonga has all the pressure in this match and after his marathon first round encounter, questioning his chances is only de rigueur.
The market is rather conservative with prices in this matchup though still clearly favouring Tsonga to win outright. Tsonga is just a 1/6 favourite while Ouanna is a 7/2  puppy. The market is accessible by each camp, those looking to back Tsonga and those looking to back Ouanna.
Certainly, makes all the performance markets worth dabbling into  – set betting, game betting and predicting scores and more... Ouanna to beat Tsonga would be a huge upset, make no mistake about it. Few expect it to happen but many are of the opinion this will be another tough match for Tsonga to overcome.
