Benitez at 20/1 after record Champions League win
Rafa Benitez has been eased from 8/1 to 20/1 with Ladbrokes to be the next Premier League manager to leave his club after Liverpool's record-breaking 8-0 Champions League win over Besiktas. The Spanish coach was under immense pressure to succeed after the club failed to win any of their opening three games in the competition but was overjoyed to watch his Liverpool team thrash Besiktas 8-0. Yossi Benayoun scored his first hat-trick for Liverpool, on rare appearances both Peter Crouch and Ryan Babel each scored twice, while captain Steven Gerrard also grabbed a goal as Liverpool's victory saw them record the biggest ever victory margin in Champions League history. Liverpool now need to beat Porto at Anfield and claim all three points in Marseilles in their final two Champions League group games to secure their progress to the Champions League knockout stages. The win was also Liverpool's biggest in Europe for 27 years and leaves them on four points, with Group A leaders Porto on eight points and Marseille in second on seven points. "The next one is against Porto and at least we will have confidence and the supporters will believe," said Benitez. "Porto need to come here to Anfield and they will be worried for sure." Ladbrokes now make the Anfield side 5/4 to qualify for the next stage and have cut them to 16/1 from 20/1 to win the cup they last lifted in Istanbul. Ladbrokes spokesman Robin Hutchison said: "Liverpool are the worst result in the Champions League book. They have still to beat Porto and Marseille but the win over Besiktas shows they should not be underestimated." Celtic are 6/4 to qualify with Ladbrokes after Aiden McGeady's first half strike saw them defeat Benfica at Parkhead and they're now 100/1 from 200/1 to add to their 1967 success. AC Milan have been trimmed to 10/1 from 12/1 after they took three off Shakhtar Donetsk and Valencia have been pushed out to 66/1.
