Bet365 Weekend Betting analysis
FOOTBALL********This weekend's live Premiership action kicks off with Everton v Chelsea (Prem Plus, ko 12.45) and with just two goals from their last three meetings, another tight game is on the cards. This is the first of five successive away games for Chelsea, and with most of their squad returning from international duty they may concentrate on playing safe. Everton are the other 1-0 specialists in the Premiership, and with Chelsea heading for 900 minutes without conceding, the best option is to go under 2.5 goals at 5/4, and no goal-scorer at 17/2. With Boro down to the bare bones in terms of injuries, Bolton look worth a bet at the Reebok (Prem Plus, ko 5.15), especially now they've turned things around after a sticky period, while United are likely to give City more of a challenge on Sunday (SS1, ko 4.05) than a Robben-less Chelsea did last week. Once the games kick off, you can take your pick from our 12 In-Play markets, while our Premiership Accumulator Offer wins you up to 60% more on you Premiership accas every weekend. A £20 acca on, Bolton, United and Liverpool to win, and Everton to draw pays out £*** which includes our 10% bonus.Match Markets:Everton v Chelsea - Under 2.5 goals @ 5/4; No Goalscorer @ 17/2Go to Bet365 NowHORSE RACING************As you'd expect, this weekend's racing provides us with more Cheltenham pointers, none more so than the anticipated clash of Champion Chase contenders Well Chief and Azertyuiop in Newbury's Game Spirit Chase (3.35). At this stage of the season, I would expect the Pipe-trained Well Chief to have the edge in fitness over his main rival, with the latter's trainer Paul Nicholls publicly stating this week that his charge is likely to need this race in the run-up to Cheltenham. The Aon Chase (2.25) has a similar scenario, in that the Nicholl's-trained Strong Flow is unlikely to be near his best on his first chase start since December 2003, leaving the way for Pipe's Celestial Gold to enhance his Gold Cup credentials. Victories for both Pipe runners would see their current Cheltenham prices contract even further from 5/2 and 14/1 respectively. On the same card, the Tote Gold Trophy (3.00) looks far more competitive, but here again Pipe looks the trainer to concentrate on, with several leading fancies entered at this stage. His Tamarinbleu could well defy a hike in the weights for his impressive win at Sandown last month (the 2nd Self Defense boosted the form last Saturday), however, at much bigger odds, I like the look of stable mate Desert Air at 33/1, who caught the eye when 4th in the same race last time out. Warwick's televised card will also feature several Cheltenham aspirants, including leading Arkle fancy My Will, who will be attempting to give his trainer a fifth win in the last six runnings of the Kingmaker Novice Chase (2.10). In the handicap chase (3.55), the in-form stable of Venetia Williams can strike with the progressive Noisetine. Back a winner at 4/1 or bigger in either of the six Channel 4 races this weekend, and we'll give you a free bet to the same stake (up to £50) on the next live race.Weekend tips:Newbury - Well Chief (3.35); Celestial Gold (2.25); Desert Air (3.00)Warwick - My Will (2.10); Noisetine (3.55)Go to Bet365 NowGREYHOUNDS***********William Hill Springbok Final Tu Feb 15The draw for this Friday's semi-finals of the Springbok has thrown together two of the best dogs in the competition, with our antepost favourite Druids Mickey Jo (9/4) and market rival Greenacre Tom (3/1) running from traps four and three respectively in the opening semi. The draw for this race could be crucial, with Druids Mickey Jo very much at home in the middle and, with Greenacre Tom to his left, he should have plenty of room to make the front early doors and put the race beyond doubt. Tom is always vulnerable away from his favoured red box, and if he runs into the expected trouble, the way could be left clear for outsider Musgrave Ozzie (T6) to clinch the second qualifying spot. If he does, our current outright price of 33/1 will look massive! The final of this race (9.45) will be the highlight of an 8-race televised (SS2) card next Tuesday night, and anyone clever enough to back a winner at 2/1 or bigger in any of the televised races on the night, can look forward to a free bet to the same stake (up to £100) on the next live race.Antepost: Musgrave Ozzie @ 33/1Go to Bet365 NowGOLF****AT&T Pebble Beach Pro AmTh Feb 10 - 20.00 BST (SS3)Fr Feb 11 - 20.00 BST (SSX)Sa Feb 12 - 20.00 BST (SS2)Su Feb 13 - 20.00 BST (SS2)This week's pro-am event is played over three courses, with the climax on Sunday played at the stunning title course. As with all seaside courses, the weather is likely to play its part, so check the draw before you place your bets, as it can be a disadvantage to play the harder Pebble Beach course in the first round, especially if the wind is up. That aside, it is easy to make a case for both the market leaders this week. Vijay Singh's record here (1-28-8-2-2-10) makes him a worthy favourite, while Phil Mickelson is going for back-to-back victories. However, at 4/1 and 6/1 respectively, neither represents any value so, going down our list of prices, we soon come to a couple of attractively priced outsiders with good course records to their name - Jesper Parnevik and Arron Oberholser. Parnevik has five top 20's in 8 career starts here (not surprising considering he's an excellent wind player), and was an eye-catching 11th last week. Local lad Oberholser had this tournament won last year until inexperience showed with a closing 76 (still finished tied 4th), and was a respectable 6th in the Buick. The final pick goes to Matt Gogel who has an exceptional record here (2nd to Tiger in 2000, winner in 2002), but whose inconsistency (missed cut in 03 & 04) means he's available at 80/1 this week!Nigel's Three Off The Tee ? He is a worthy favourite but he could worth taking on considering his new Pirelli tires will not be seen to best advantage on this type of track. Toni Gardemeister is a good young driver who finished second in Monte Carlo, and he could go well at 7/1, but Mikko Hirvonen, who will be driving a Ford which has always done well in Sweden, could be the surprise package this week at 20/1.Tip: Mikko Hirvonen @ 20/1.Get in the game and be lucky!Go to Bet365 Now
