However, when you consider he only hit 25 out of a possible 66 fairways over the four days, suggesting that his problems with the driver remain, it is questionable whether he's quite back to his pre-2004 best. With that in mind, and with both Singh and Els showing no signs of easing up, I would rather back him to win no majors at all this season at 10/11 (from Evens). Tip: Tiger Woods to win NO Majors this season @ 10/11.With no Woods in the field for this week's Bob Hope Classic, the mantle of favouritism goes to Phil Mickelson at 15/2, but as he was a dismal tied-56th last week (16 shots behind Woods), we shall look elsewhere for the winner. The pro-am format of this event does not suit everyone, but one player who clearly enjoys it is Jonathan Kaye, who has a stroke average of 67 over the last two Hopes. With two good finishes in Hawaii this year, Kaye looks set for another good week, along with Mike Weir (winner in 2003), and Scott McCarron, who impressed with his 6th place finish last week. With play in this 90-hole marathon starting on Wednesday, don't worry if you miss the start, as we'll be betting in-play throughout this event.Nigel's Three Off The Tee: Jonathan Kaye @ 28/1, Mike Weir @ 14/1, Scott McCarron @ 66/1. Each-way ¼ 1.2.3.4.5.HORSE RACINGYour A Gassman has been my long range fancy for this weekend's Skybet Chase at Doncaster (15.25), and there is no reason to desert him now. With his trainer Ferdy Murphy making bullish remarks about his chances, and with the trip, ground and track in his favour he is worth a bet now at the available 4/1. The bonus is that, as the race is live on Channel 4, you'll be entitled to a free bet to the same stake (up to £50) on the next live race (3.45 Cheltenham) - providing he wins of course! The Victor Chandler Chase (14.05) looks a match between Martin Pipe's Well Chief and Thisthatandtother (Paul Nicholls), with the former's presence at the head of the weights ensuring that only a handful of the runners will be running off their correct handicap marks. The top weight is our 5/2 favourite, but that price looks skinny considering that he has to concede 20lb to his rival, and is running off a 23lb higher mark than when beaten on his seasonal appearance. It would be no surprise to see the two 'flip-flop' in the betting come the day of the race. On a point of value, however, the other Nicholls runner Kadarann is the bet at 12/1. Well treated on some of his form, this specialist two-miler is proven around Cheltenham, and ran well last time out at Wetherby when trying to concede weight to Mister McGoldrick.Pipe can still be on the mark with Westender in the Cleve Hurdle (2.35), who steps up to three miles for the first time. After a string of good performances in good company without winning, the nine-year-old finally got his head in front at Cheltenham on New Years Day. He showed no sign of stopping up the hill that day, and the extra distance of Saturday's race could see him in even better light. In anticipation of a big run, it might be worth having a few quid on him now for the Festival's World Hurdle at our stand-out price of 16/1. Apart from ante-post favourite Baracouda (7/4), the race does not look to have any strength in depth this year.Weekend tips:Skybet Chase - Your A Gassman @ 4/1 (and don't forget your free bet!).Victor Chandler - Kadarann @ 12/1.Cleve Hurdle - Westender @ SP (Antepost for the World Hurdle @ 16/1).FOOTBALLSouthhampton v Portsmouth Sa Jan 29 - 12.45 ko BST (BBC1)Man Utd v MiddlesbroughSa Jan 29 - 17.20 ko BST (BBC1)The FA Cup throws up some interesting clashes this weekend, but it is difficult to envisage defeat for the big three teams, who were all given easy home ties when the draw was made. Of the three, United look to have the hardest task against Boro, but there is still little reason to oppose them. United have not conceded in six domestic Cup ties, a run that includes games against Chelsea and Arsenal, while the days are gone when they gave up on this competition. Boro's record against the big four teams this season is poor - just two points from seven games - including a New Years Day 2-0 defeat to United at the Riverside. A repeat of that scoreline would be no surprise at 11/2. The game is live on the BBC (ko 17.20), as is the Southampton v Portsmouth clash (12.45 ko), which also looks a close tie on paper. The reality could be different, however, as the Saints are coming into this on the back of a confidence boosting win over Liverpool, and are unbeaten at home since September. Suggestion: An accumulator on United @ 4/9, Southampton @ 5/4, Arsenal @ 1/6 and Chelsea @ 1/4 - pays out £118.40 to a £25 stake. After kick off, we will be betting both games In-Play to a reduced margin of 107% on up to twelve In-Play markets, including: Match Betting; Next Goalscorer; Over/Under Goals; Team Not To Win; Correct Score; Next Goal; Total Corners; Total Bookings; Next Card; Team To Score Next Penalty; Asian Handicap; and Goal Line.My advice to back Tottenham at 20/1 antepost for the FA Cup (now 14/1) still looks a fair bet, despite the prospect of a tricky tie at the Hawthorns. Martin Jols men, have had a couple of setbacks recently, so could be excused for playing a canny game on Saturday. With that in mind, the draw looks a sensible bet at 9/4, before they trounce the Midlanders back at White Hart Lane!Get in the game and be lucky!Bet365 offers all new users a great sign up offer.
