BETFAIR 2009 US MASTERS TIPS
Tiger Woods is a very heavy favourite to secure another incredible victory at the Augusta National Golf Course during the 2009 Masters. Tiger Woods Betfair odds for the outright victory are currently trading at 3.85. Phil Mickelson is a distant second place with odds of 11.0. Padraig Harrington is the only other player trading below 20 with a price hovering around 18.5. There's a million and a half matched already at Betfair and I'm expecting the cash to flow even faster as we get closer to the opening tee-offs. The market for top 5 finish isn't quite as busy, but there's still plenty of value. Woods is available at a slim 1.61 with Mickelson at 3.45 and Harrington sitting at 5.0. Geoff Ogilvy is 5.6 with Sergio Garcia a competitive bet at 8.6. Ernie Els is available at 9.2 and many expect Anthony Kim to have a strong tournament- he's available at 11.0. Vijay Singh is at 14.5 while in-form Paul Casey is backed at a mere 7.2. He's got a chance this year. Rory McIlroy is the top bet for US Masters debutante at 3.8. Anthony Kim is at 4.7 with the closest competitor listed at 12.0. Clearly, its a battle between these two. Geoff Ogilvy is a big favourite to be top Australian and you can back him at 2.05. Adam Scott is at 5.2 while Stuart Appleby is at 5.5. A Hole in One during the entire tournament will pay out at 2.28 and No Hole in One is at 1.71. Phil Mickelson is the favourite in the Winner w/o Woods market at a competitive 7.0. Harrington is at 12.0 while Ogilvy sits at 15.5. If you're looking for a long shot bet, try DJ Trahan at 100.0.
