BETFAIR CHELSEA VS BARCELONA 2ND LEG BETTING TIPS
Barcelona travel to Stamford Bridge as the slim favourites to win this all-important away game following the 0-0 draw at Camp Nou. Betfair have the Spanish all-stars listed at 2.64 to take the victory with Chelsea listed just under 3.0 at 2.92. The draw (a rather likely outcome in my opinion) can be backed at 3.5. Away goals are the key in the 2nd leg as they always seem to be. Chelsea will score here, they're good on their home ground and know how to get the job done. The only question is whether Barca can really trouble Guus Hiddink's men to the point where they can actually notch a goal or two. I don't think one is enough for Barcelona and if they can get two away goals then they're laughing. Chelsea have a chance to score 3, but I think 2 is a more reasonable target. A 1-1 draw is a pretty decent bet and that's a bit of a playing it safe wager. Obviously, that would mean Barcelona go through to the final, but I actually do think Chelsea are the slim favourites here in my opinion. Jump all over that 2.92- it's a much better wager than Chelsea To Qualify which only pays 2.44 for some reason. Barca are listed at 1.68 to qualify. Not much value there for a team that couldn't score a goal at home. In fact, if you look at it, Barcelona couldn't score against Manchester United last year either over two legs. They're a great team and they can pull apart nearly anybody, but they really do have a problem shutting down English opposition. For me, the state of play at half-time will have a major bearing on the outcome here. 0-0 is laid at the lowest price, 3.05 with 1-0 each way paying 5.3. You can back both of those and get paid out at 2.65. Effectively backing a goal in the first half. What both teams really need to watch out for here is a penalty. If you think a penalty will be taken, you'll get paid out at 3.4. If you fancy Chelsea to take this one, why not back them to keep a clean sheet? They certainly did last time and you'll garner odds of 3.55. Didier Drogba and Lionel Messi are both the lowest-priced players to score with odds of 3.05. Anelka is at 3.75 while Lampard is at 3.8. Samuel Eto'o is listed at 3.25 with Thierry Henry at 3.45. PREDICTIONI'm confident that most people will back Barcelona, but I'm siding with Chelsea on this one and I'm backing them to keep a clean sheet as well. 1-0 to Chelsea would be about right, we may even go into extra time. If that doesn't pan out, Chelsea will get through 2-1 with a late, late goal.
