BETFAIR GRAND NATIONAL DAY 3 BETTING TIPS

The final day of the 2009 John Smith's Grand National at Aintree presents a lot of excitement and plenty of money-making opportunities. While everybody is fixated on the big race at 4:15, there are plenty of stellar opportunities to cash in on the other races. In the opening fixture of the day, we've got a Cheltenham favourite in Michael Flips facing a field that he is more than capable of beating. Although he didn't perform particularly well in the Supreme Novices Hurdle, he has showed piles of form before and I have a feeling that the ground conditions will work in his favour. Cape Tribulation is the out-and-out favourite here at 4.5 with the well-respected Copper Blue just behind at 6.4. Conflictofinterest is another one that you may want to have a second look at with a price of 14.0 on Betfair. In the Maghull Novices Chase, I really like Kalahari King and Tatenen as the reverse forecast bet here. There isn't too much between them and although Tony McCoy could have a few things to say with Song of Songs, the short price on Kalahari and Tatenen is there for a reason. Kalahari King is listed at 2.86 and Tatenen is just behind at 3.0. Not much between these two and I can see them besting the rest of the field. Song of Songs I your closest competition but the Maghull is really between these two. In the Aintree Hurdle, we've got another really tight one at the top with the excellent Celestial Halo coming in at 5.2 with Al Eile just behind at 5.6. Catch Me is listed at 7.2, but I've actually got my attention on the much more value-oriented Whiteoak who is available at Betfair at an incredible 22.0. I think this horse has what it takes to score here and at a price like that is more than worth an each-way punt. In the Grand National itself, everybody is piling onto My Will, who I believe is very capable of running a strong race. However, I'm of the opinion that the value (and the logic) rests with L'Ami. He showed his guile in the Cross Country Chase at Cheltenham finishing just behind his countrymen Garde Champetre. At 28.0, L'Ami could be your best friend if he pulls off the victory that I know he's capable of. Additionally, I like Qozak in the John Smith's Handicap Hurdle at 7.8 and I also think that City Theatre is a solid punt in the Champion Standard Open at 10.0.
