BETFAIR MANCHESTER UNITED VS PORTSMOUTH BETTING TIPS
After suffering a loss on penalties in the FA Cup semi-final last weekend, Manchester United have a lot to prove this week against Portsmouth. Considering the circumstances- Fergie being pissed about a loss, Rooney/Ronaldo being rested and the fact that the match is at Old Trafford- and you'll realize that you're going to have some trouble betting against Man United here. The layers at Betfair seem to be thinking along the same lines as Portsmouth pay 18.0 for the outright victory. Compare that to Man U's slim 1.25 price. The draw pays 6.6 and I can't really see that happening either. The big question here is- how many?In terms of correct score, 2-0 to United seems to be the order of the day with a price of 6.4. 1-0 to the Red Devils pays out at 7.6. The 1-1 draw pays 13.0. Cristiano Ronaldo is favoured to score first and that's a really solid wager. 4.6 is the payout and I fancy him to get on the scoresheet first. Rooney is just behind at 5.0 while the underwhelming Dimitar Berbatov carries a price of 5.9. He's going to have to start scoring important goals soon or he could soon face the ire of the United fans. Carlos Tevez pays 5.6, but I don't fancy him to start. As always, keen your eye on Nemanja Vidic who carries a price of 16.5. Peter Crouch is favoured to score for Pompey with a price of 11.0. David Nugent sits at 13.0 while Kanu is listed at 14.0. The Half-time/Full-time odds are decent if you fancy a half-time draw. The draw/Man United bet sits at 4.8, which is lucrative. But personally, I think United will score within the 1st 20 minutes. Verdict: Manchester United to win 2-0 @ 6.4 with Ronaldo and Rooney scoring.
