BETFAIR MARKET REVIEW FOR CHELTENHAM GOLD CUP BETTING
The big day is nearly upon us and we're seeing lots of movement from the punters in both directions having examined the Betfair market for the 2009 Cheltenham Gold Cup. Kauto Star continues to hold his position as the punters favourite and the reviews have been so positive, and his technical form so astute, that we're even seeing value-seekers pushing all-in on Kauto. Click here for your £25 free bet from Betfair!Currently available at 2.92, he holds a significant lead over yard-mates Neptune Collonges (7.4) and Denman (7.2), the widely-regarded winner of last year's race. Things haven't been the same for Denman since his heart trouble last year and we've seen that reflected since his loss at the Levy Board Chase back in early February. That win thrust Madison Du Berlais into the spotlight and he was a much shorter price than he should have been, but it is starting to even out now with his price sitting around 12.0 placing him on par with Exotic Dancer. Snoopy Loopy is sinking like a stone and was once available in the neighbourhood of 66.00 and is now sitting at a negligible 150.00. Star De Mohaison is creeping upwards as well and can be had now for somewhere in the region of 35.0. Barbers Shop, representing Queen Elizabeth, looks set to make a statement and punters are starting a late push towards him. Available at 15.0, he is starting to shorten and I expect closer to 12.0 come post time.
