BETFRED 2009 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS OF SNOOKER
Ronnie O'Sullivan has crashed out of the 2009 World Championships of Snooker thanks to an excellent final session from Mark Allen, who secured a 13-11 victory. Allen took the opening three frames of the second-round tie. Currently, Stephen Maguire is the out and out favourite at 4/1. Mark Selby is listed at Betfred on 5/1 with John Higgins at 11/2 and Shaun Murphy at 13/2. Now that we've got the quarter finals well under way, Betfred is offering up not just great odds on the outright winner, but match betting and live match betting, as well. There are plenty of exciting fixtures coming up in this round and I expect an even more robust semi-finals. The bookies don't fancy Mark Allen to follow up his giant killing performance with a victory in the next round. Allen is listed at 9/1 towards the back of the pack. Only Jamie Cope at 25/1, Graeme Dott at 40/1 and Mark King at 150/1. Keep in mind that Betfred is offering up each way betting at 1/3 the odds on the top two spots. I can definitely see the Maguire/Selby final, but considering how the tournament has gone so far, it really could be anyone's game.
