Big Brother Eviction Odds: This week Roberto?
Derek has confidently predicted that the public will vote Roberto out of the Big Brother house this week. That though goes against what the bookmakers believe will happen on Friday night. The Tory speechwriter is the odds-on favourite to be voted out, although it should be noted that already there has been some support for the Italian.Having intially been available at 11/4 immediately following the nomination results, those odds soon disappeared leaving a general offering of 5/4. In other Big Brother betting news, the price for "any other" to win is holding steady at around the 16/1 mark - roughly the odds available since the start. That is of course except for the 20/1 at VC Bet, which we thought worth a small investment. The reason for mentioning this is the rumours of a new arrival in the Big Brother house. Previous years have seen housemates introduced: Josh Rafter in 'Big Brother 2'; Sophie Pritchard in the third season; Lisa in 'Big Brother 4' and last year Becki. However, unlike in each of the previous years when the late arrival usually became a public hate figure for a while, it was the belief of James Millman a few days into Big Brother 5 that a new contestant would most likely go down well with the viewing public, given the distinct lack of potential winners currently residing in the house. As if to back this argument up, Makosi has lost her place at the top of the betting to Kemal, who is now trading at 4/1. Those following our advice to back "any other" in the winners market should find out shortly whether this indeed was a prudent decision.
