BIRMINGHAM VS MANCHESTER UNITED LATEST BETTING TIPS

Thanks to the weather, we've only had two regular Premiership fixtures today, but that's no bother as all know that they'll be played out at a later date. Still it certainly makes you wonder what they actually expect all that expensive under-soil heating to accomplish when they just assume fans can't make the game anyway?
The Birmingham vs Manchester United fixture is one of those ones that, in pre-season, you would have looked and said "oh, three easy points for United" but Alex McLeish's side have really been punching above their weight and getting results when they need them. It looks a little bit more than just "doing a Hull City" and I firmly expect them to be solidly in mid-table come seasons end, if not playing in the Europa League.
You could even go so far as to say they're slogging it out with Liverpool and Aston Villa for one of those places, as opposed to battling Pompey and Bolton in a relegation dogfight
Blue Square is listing United at 8/13 for the outright win while Birmingham trade at 5/1. The draw is listed at 13/5 and I think this is a must-win for United. If they took all three points, they would be well-placed in the table against Chelsea who will now have games in hand. This is generally the turning point in United's season where they really start to get their act together and go on a long winning streak. Should that happen again this season they will be tough to beat.
United are 6/4 to win both halves while draw/man utd trades at 16/5. With the shaky form United have been in lately, I wouldn't rule out Birmingham/Manchester United which trades at 25/1.
In terms of the correct score betting, I think there will be more than a few goals in this one while the bookies seem to favour United 1-0 at 11/2 and United 2-0 at 6/1. 3-2 isn't out of the question and you're looking at 33/1 if that happens.
Cameron Jerome is expected to be the main threat for Birmingham while Cristian Benitez is also considered a likely candidate to score. Jerome to score at anytime pays out at 11/4 while Benitez trades at the same margin.
Wayne Rooney is listed at an odds-on price to score, and he is in scintellating form, you can back him at 5/6 anytime. He is a mere 20/1 to notch a hat-trick. Michael Owen is 11/10 anytime, Dimitar Berbatov is 6/5 while Danny Welbeck trades at 11/8. Keep your eye on Darren Fletcher at 4/1 and Darron Gibson at 10/3 should they both start.
I think United should get the win here and a week of wrath from Sir Fergie will likely have done the job. You can't count out Birmingham here and I think they're going to be a popular selection with the bookmakers today. Still, I say United 3-2.
