BLACKBURN ROVERS BETTING TIPS 2009/10 PREMIER LEAGUE

This is shaping up to be a real make or break year for Sam Allardyce and his men. I think Jason Roberts is going to be key, as is the recent loan signing of Franco Di Santo from Chelsea, who could really make a name for himself this season. He's got a good stage to work with and I'm also expecting Morten Gamst Pederson to perform much better than he did last year. I'm hoping Blackburn can improve on their 15th place from last year and there isn't a huge amount of betting value in going over and above that. You're looking at 4/7 for Blackburn to finish higher than 15th and 21/10 for them to finish lower. I don't really see them having any players capable of challenging for the top scorer slots, but their best chance appears to be Jason Roberts at 200/1. Should Blackburn really get things underway this season I can see them pushing for a top-half finish- I think that's their best case scenario. You're looking at 7/4 for them to finish in the top 10 and that's not bad value if you're a Blackburn fan. In terms of the regional betting, William Hill has pitted Blackburn against local rivals Bolton, Wigan and Burnley and they are the favourites to win their group at 9/5. Bolton and Wigan both sit at 9/4 while Burnley are a very long 11/2. Blackburn don't look prime relegation candidates as they are 1/16 to stay up this year. I think this will be a rebuilding year, and hopefully they can pull off a few inspired signings if the cash becomes available.
