Blackjack Ketchum Supporters begin to show their hand
Even if you don't particularly fancy a horse for a race, there is always a price when a planned lay becomes a must back - and it appears that Black Jack Ketchum hit just that level when offered at 12-1 on Betfair for the Ladbrokes World Hurdle yesterday. There is little doubt that Black Jack Ketchum has been on the top of most punters' "get" list at the Festival, and he drifted out to 12-1 for the stayers' crown on Betfair - though the serious sums were matched up to 8-1 - having once been backed at a low of 5-6 for the race. But the tide has turned and he is now trading at under 4-1 again; Inglis Drever is the 4.7 favourite, but Jonjo O'Neill's horse is currently into just 4.9 to back. To win the Ladbrokes World Hurdle - Betfair bet: 4.7 Inglis Drever, 4.9 Black Jack Ketchum, 7.4 Blazing Bailey, 9.4 Mighty Man, 13 Labelthou, 13.5 Kasbah Bliss.
