Blackpool to Rollercoaster Into Championship

An amazing 6-3 win at Swansea has given Blackpool a real head of steam heading into the League 1 play-offs and they can be backed with confidence at 9/4 (Totesport) to be a Championship team next season. The Seasiders started the season slowly but their form picked up in the New Year and they came within a whisker of automatic promotion in the end. Their semi-final opponents Oldham (4/1 William Hill) have gone the other way in the last three months, with automatic promotion slipping from their grasp and the Latics have been slightly fortunate to make the top six. Unsurprisingly, Nottingham Forest are the favourites to go up at 11/5 (Totesport), although this is more down to reputation than actually on merit. They struggled to a 0-0 draw with Crewe in their final game and hardly smack of value. Yeovil make up the final four and are not a daft bet at 4/1 (Ladbrokes) to make it a double promotion.
