BOOKMAKER CONFIDENT RAFA BENITEZ LEAVING LIVERPOOL
Skybet has released odds regarding Rafael Benitez' as whispers around the Premier League are beginning to sound increasingly like Benitez' position has become untenable. This fact has now been compounded by Skybet releasing odds on the Liverpool managers likelihood of departure. CASH IN YOUR FREE £25 WITH SKYBET!Benitez to see out the 09/10 season as Liverpool Manager market has "No" listed at 8/13 and Yes at 6/5. While the odds may not be huge, an odds-on price of 8/13 tells no lies about where the bookies expect Benitez to wind up. After the disappointment yesterday against Aston Villa, one has to be wondering whether Benitez truly longs for the sunny Spanish shores. Kenny Dalglish is the favourite to succeed Benitez as Next Permanent Liverpool Manager with a price of 9/4. Somehow Jose Mourinho is listed at 6/1, he's going nowhere so don't throw your money away. Roberto Mancini is also at 6/1 and is significantly more likely to manage Liverpool than Mourinho. Jurgen Klinsmann is also an interesting selection and he's at 7/1. Gianfranco Zola is available at 10/1 and with talk of his frustration with the economic situation at West Ham coming to light, this could be more likely than you'd normally think. Other notables include Steve McManaman and Robbie Fowler at 500/1, Phil Scolari at 25/1, Juande Ramos at 20/1, Frank Rijkaard at 16/1 with Marco Van Basten and Brendt Schuster both at 14/1. Personally, I don't think that the situation at Liverpool is quite as bad as everybody thinks, but if they find themselves opening up October mired in mid-table mediocrity, then I could see Benitez anxiously looking at the exit door. If the Skybet prices were reversed, I would say jump all over it, but I'm waiting for the No price to rise to 10/11 before I plunk down any cash.
