Boxing Day Premier League Betting Odds PT 2

Needless to say, the first fixture of the Boxing Day matches will be eagerly-watched by everybody with a top four clash and London Derby all mixed up in a single contest. Chelsea face off against West Ham and there will be a lot of punters who have an eye on West Ham in this one at a very hefty price of 8.50 for the outright victory over the Blues.

You can find Chelsea trading at a 1.36 price and that’s just a little bit too short for many here as Chelsea are great at home, but this is not the same West Ham side that have been getting battered at Stamford Bridge on the regular over the past few years. West Ham now sit higher at Christmas than they ever have in the Premier League and they will be eagerly anticipating their ability to stay up there.

The draw trades at a 5.0 margin and that’s an attractive  bet as well - particularly if West Ham can notch the first goal. What you really want to do is keep your eye on whether West Ham can contain Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa - the two keys to Chelsea winning matches for most of this year.

Burnley face off against Liverpool and the relegation contenders have been improving lately despite them still being mired in the bottom three right now - level on points with Crystal Palace at 15. While things haven’t been quite as dour as they were at the start of the season, the re-emergence of QPR has been a real problem for them and they face a match-up against the Reds where they would really like to be able to pull off a result.

Right now, you’ll find the hosts trading at a lengthy 4.33 while Liverpool are available at a 1.83 price tag. The draw trades at a 3.60 margin and that’s a tricky one here but not entirely out of the question.

The major key for this match is whether Liverpool will bounce after pulling off a 1-1 draw against Arsenal at the weekend. It seems as though whenever Brendan Rodgers men put together a decent performance they follow it up the next week with a sub-par outing against a team they should beat.

Crystal Palace vs Southampton looks like it sets up nicely for the south coasters and the bookmakers fancy them to get things back on track here with a 2.20 listing to get the away victory. They have dropped a few spots since losing to Manchester United by, by all measures, it appears as though Ronald Koeman’s men will be there-or-thereabouts at the end of the Premier League season, particularly if they can continue playing high-quality football and getting wins against the Premier League big boys.
