Boxing Day Premier League Fixtures Pt 1
- By A.J. Ryder on December 26, 2013 01:33 GMTAs the holiday fixture season is now finally upon us, we can get ready for a stellar line-up of quality football action. There is a lot to like about the English Premier League matches on Boxing Day as Hull vs Manchester United gets us off to an early start and you reckon that David Moyes will be enjoying the prospect of facing off against another relatively lesser side.

United certainly can’t take anything for granted at this point and their ability to screw up matches that they should be winning easily has become the stuff of legend this year with Moyes at the helm. They have gotten things back on track recently though and haven’t dropped points in a few fixtures. The momentum is so important for that side and the emerging players - particularly in midfield - really need to step up if they are to mount anything of a title chase.
And it needs to happen quickly.
At this point in time, punters will find United trading at a 1.57 price tag with Hull City available at a full 6.0 to get the result. The draw is trading at 4.0 and, if you’re looking to bet on Hull or the draw, it may make sense to make that an in-play wager and take some time to see how United are shaping up and whether they’re playing the way that they should be.
It will be tough going without Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie, but Danny Welbeck actually scoring goals is a pleasant enough prospect and you can assume that he’s going to need to make a real statement here by capitalizing on this opportunity. Javier Hernandez as well needs to start making his presence felt a bit more in his efforts to ditch the super-sub role he has been working with over the past couple of years since arriving.
