Things are really getting interesting in the English Premier League right now as our eyes turn towards the Boxing Day fixtures and there appears to be plenty of solid betting opportunities in the offing here as we look towards this congested set of contests over the next week and a half that tends to either create momentum for some teams and kill it off entirely for others.

The fact that the transfer window reopens again in just a few weeks also adds a bit of spice – particularly for players playing at mid-table and lower mid-table clubs who may be looking towards a move to greener pastures. Arsenal take on West Brom and you'll find the Gunners likely to continue their good run of form as they come into the contest with a 4/11 price tag. The Baggies can be backed at a 9/1 listing and they are coming in fresh off a loss to Manchester United so they will probably be looking towards an easier time of the season to begin cobbling together more points.
