Boxing Day Premier League Fixtures Pt 2

Chelsea come into their fixture on Boxing day as the biggest favourite of the entire day’s action with a slim 1.33 price tag to topple the likes of Welsh side Swansea. Jose Mourinho really doesn’t look like he’s got this Chelsea side firing on all cylinders and you do have to wonder what is happening with the Juan Mata situation. A player who would walk into nearly every side in Europe is struggling to get games at Stamford Bridge and you have to assume that he is casting his eyes elsewhere with a look towards a move in the January transfer window.

Swansea have been punching above their weight every since they even showed up in the English Premier League and they have cultivated a bit of a giant-killing personality amongst many fans. They are 8.5 to get the victory here while the draw can be backed at 5.0. While the Swansea victory looks unlikely if Chelsea play to their potential, but you may want to keep your eyes on the draw - particularly if Chelsea look a bit out of sorts early and we’ve got a 0-0 scoreline at halftime.

Spurs will be facing off against West Brom and they come in as fairly distinct favourites for this one with a price tag hovering around 1.55 - that’s a bit short considering how they are now with a brand new manager and the side has looked a tad out of sorts during this season.

Tim Sherwood now has the opportunity to prove his chops as a manager who needs to be taken seriously. If he can get Spurs into the hunt for a Champions League place he will obviously do better than Andre Villas-Boas would have done this season but it really looks like that side just aren’t the same now that Gareth Bale has left.

West Brom have proven in the past that they can, more or less, take on nearly any side in the Premier League on their day and have a genuine shot at it. Look for them at a 6.0 price tag.
