BRAZIL VS NORTH KOREA 2010 WORLD CUP PREDICTIONS AND BETTING TIPS
There's going to be a lot of punters trying to make cash from chaos on this one with nobody really knowing quite what to expect from the DPRK. Popular UK bookmaker Ladbrokes has priced Brazil at miniscule odds of 1.08 to win the match while North Korea can be backed at a whopping 26.0.
The big bet here is basically how many do Brazil score? I think we haven't seen too many blow-outs this World Cup, so we are really due to see one. The issue is though, is that I'm quite confident that North Korea are a better side than many punters and observers are giving them credit for.
Park Ji-Sung of South Korea has recently commented to the media that he thinks North Korea could be the surprise of the tournament- they play some really organized and effective stuff so it will be interesting to see how they cope with Brazil's flair-based play.
Bookmakers have raised the anytime goalscorer price for a number of Brazil's better players. Luis Fabiano can now be backed at 1.5 to score anytime- understandable as he's generally deployed as a lone striker these days. Robinho trades at 1.8 while Grafite and Kaka can be backed at 2.2 alongside Nilmar.
For Noth Korea, they will be looking to Jong Tae Sae at 5.0 and Hong Yong Jo at 7.0. Choe Kum Chol and Kim Jum Il sits at 8.0.
If you're backing Brazil to run up the score, you will probably want to take them on the handicap to give yourself as much flexibility as possible. There is no margin for error if you're backing correct scores and with North Korea a bit of an unknown quantity, it's difficult to do this with any amount of precision.
I think that Brazil (-3.0) at a 3.25 price is probably your best bet- that basically means they'll win by four or more. You can also back them to win to nil at 1.5.
A penalty to be conceded and scored at any time is trading at 3.0 and I think thats a distinct possibility today.
