BRAZIL VS NORTH KOREA 2ND HALF ODDS SHOW BETTORS FLOCKING TO NORTH KOREA
Well, nobody really expected that one to happen- North Korea have just probably produced the craziest 45 minutes of the 2010 World Cup. Truth be told, they didn't look panicky at all and, in fact, look very assured despite adopting such defensive tactics.
I expect a significant amount of cash to come in on North Korea to at least pull off the draw here. They did get a handful of half-chances in the first 45 minutes and you get the feeling that if they can get a genuinely good chance- they might be able to convert.
North Korea's odds to beat Brazil were at 25/1 before the match, but now you'll find them trading around 11/1 with soe bookmakers. The draw has dropped from 10/1 to around 5/1 and that really says something for how well North Korea have been able to contain the Brazilians.
I imagine there are a lot of punters who were backing Brazil to run up a massive scoreline who are cursing their luck right now. 9/1 on Luis Fabiano to get a hat-trick doesn't look such a great call anymore does it?
As decent as the North Koreans have been, the Brazilians really haven't been playing their best stuff. They are moving the ball around well, but just can't cope with those 2 flat banks of four that the North Koreans are sticking with. Brazil just can't get men to capitalize when they're coming in from wide positions.
Currently, North Korea are listed at around 11/1 to score the next goal while Brazil are still odds-on at around 1.2 or so.
You will see bookmakers cutting North Korea's price throughout the second half if they can continue to shut out Brazil. We could be on the verge of something very special here.
