BRAZIL VS NORTH KOREA PREDICTIONS AND LATEST WORLD CUP BETTING ODDS
It's pretty safe to say that North Korea could write their way into footballing folklore by pulling off a dramatic against-all-odds victory today when they take on Brazil- a country defined by football.
The mysterious DPRK doesn't boast any names that football fans outside of Asia will have even heard about, but they will be taking on some of the premier names in the global game, taking on the likes of Kaka, Luis Fabiano and, ahem, Kleberson.
North Korea's odds to beat Brazil are at 25/1 with popular UK bookmaker Blue Square. Brazil are listed at a slim 1/10 and you can back the draw at an 8/1 price- thats some of the longest odds I've seen on a draw during this entire tournament. In fact, the 25/1 odds for North Korea to win represent the longest pre-match odds you will see during the entirety of the 2010 World Cup.
Luis Fabiano is priced at 1/2 to score a goal at anytime while Robinho can be backed at an enticing 4/7 while Kaka is priced at 8/13 and Elano trades at 7/4. Brazil have so many goalscorers on the pitch, you can see this being 10-0 if things go according to plan.
One thing Blue Square offers that other don't bookmakers don't provide is the ability to bet on individual players to hit the woodwork, and with so many chances likely to be had today I think you can clean up on Brazil. Elano is priced at 10/1 to rattle the woodwork while Kaka trades at 13/2. Luis Fabiano is 9/2 to hit the post or the cross-bar while Robinho is 6/1 to do the same. These are anytime prices as well. I think that's a huge opportunity.
Four or more goals in the match is priced at 11/8 while over 3.5 goals in the match trades at 8/15.
Brazil 2-0 is the shortest price on a correct scoreline at a 4/1 price. A 3-0 win is listed at 9/2 while a 4-0 victory pays out at 15/2. A 5-0 win rewards at 12/1, but I'm just not sure how this one pans out and with the odds so short on 5 goal victories- the prices just don't stack up for me.
North Korea's odds to score first in this match are listed at 6/1. Brazil are 11/1 to win having been behind at any point.
