Over the last couple of days, three flights have arrived at Louisville airport in Kentucky - carrying a host of European equine talent. They are headed for Churchill Downs where they will go head-to-head with the best horses that American racing has to offer. This year's meeting takes place on Saturday, November the 4th.The first race gets underway at 5.30pm British time, and the races will be covered live on Racing World and Racing UK.Breeders cup Race Guide:5.30 (GMT)- Breeders Cup Juvenile FilliesThis race is for 2 year-old fillies and is run on a dirt course over a distance of just over a mile. Cash Included (winner of 2 out of her 3 races) is the current 9/4 favourite. The European challenge is thin on the ground for this race although Stan Moore sends Satulagi to line up from his Lambourn stable. She has an American pedigree which should suit this type of racing, but is one of the outsiders, available at 50/1. 6.10 - Breeders Cup Juvenile (Colts & Geldings)Run under the same conditions as the previous race, but this time for the boys. 2 out of the last 5 runnings have gone the way of a European trained horse, but unfortunately none go to post this year. Scat Daddy at 4/1 is the current market leader, in what looks to be a very competitive race. 6.55 - Breeders Cup Filly & Mare TurfRaced on a turf course of just under a mile and a half, for female horses aged 3 and over. The Europeans have a good record (3 out of the last 5 winners) and Ed Dunlop's Ouija Board, the current 2/1 favourite, heads their challenge. She was the winner of this race in 2004, and also finished second in the same race last year. 7.35 - Breeders Cup SprintA pure speed contest over 6 furlongs on the dirt course. With such a poor record in the race it's no wonder that the Europeans have not a single entry. Henny Hughes heads the field as a strong 2/1 favourite. Blink and you'll miss it!8.15 - Breeders Cup MileAnother turf race, over exactly one mile. European horses currently make up over half the entries. Jeremy Noseda's Araafa (9/2), looks to be the pick of those. Godolphin and Ballydoyle also send strong contenders in Ad Valorem (14/1) and Librettist (10/1) respectively. Aragorn, winner of his last 5 races, is the current 5/2 favourite for the US.8.55 - Breeders Cup DistaffFor fillies and mares aged 3 and over, run on a dirt course of 9 furlongs. The trends point to a US bred contender aged 3 or 4. Current 9/4 favourite Fleet Indian at 5 years of age, is looking to break those recent trends.9.35 - Breeders Cup TurfA 1 and a half-mile race on a turf course. Aiden O'Brien, successful in 2003 with High Chaparral, is represented by Scorpion (8/1).
