BRITAIN'S GOT TALENT BETTING HAS SUSAN BOYLE AS ODDS ON FAVOURITE

Potty-mouthed youtube singing sensation Susan Boyle is the odds-on favourite to win Britain's Got Talent this year and she carries a slim 4/6 price. Paddy Power also has Shaheen Jafargholi available at 6/1 with Aidan Davis at 7/1 and Flawless at a price of 9/1. There's really only maybe five entries in the competition that have a real chance of upsetting Susan Boyle and Stavros Flatley at 10/1 and Diversity at 14/1 are pretty much the only entries (aside from the ones mentioned above) that genuinely could pull off a shocker. Not many competitors on this show get the type of world-wide attention that Boyle received and this will definitely play into her favour. She opens the show up to international markets and I think that's really what they're looking for here. Control over her album will be paramount for the show's producers as its guaranteed to effectively be a global platinum disk. In fact, Paddy Power have even offered up a betting market where you can bet on who will play Susan Boyle if a film is released about the singer. Oddly enough, Catherine Zeta Jones is the favourite at 3/1. I don't see that, myself. Kelly McDonald is a bit more reasonable and she's at 4/1. Helena Bonham Carter is at 6/1 while Kathy Bates is my choice at 8/1. The film must come out by 2011 and if she puts out a successful album, I would say it's definitely a possibility. You can also back the winner of the public vote on May 28th. Julian Smith is a 2/5 favourite, Callum Francis is listed at 9/4 while 2 Grand is at 8/1. There is also a market where you can back certain entries to make the final and, again, Julian Smith is the favourite at 1/14. Callum Francis is available at 2/7 while 2 Grand can be backed at 3/1. I can see Susan Boyle's price dropping significantly over the next few weeks and if you're going to back her, by all means do it right now.
