BUTLERS CABIN GRAND NATIONAL BETTING TIPS
Butler's Cabin boasts a first-rate pedigree, one of Ireland's top trainers and he's owned by one of the biggest names in horse racing. Why is this horse one of the top contenders for the 2009 Aintree Grand National? Re-read the first sentence. At the time of this writing, Butler's Cabin is neck and neck with Paul Nicholl's My Will for the position of outright favourite to secure a Grand National victory. Plenty of cash has been pouring into the ante-post coffers as he certainly appears to have been run all season with Grand National in mind. Problem is that he really hasn't recorded a victory in quite some time and that lack of form is truly disturbing. He ran in the Kim Muir at Cheltenham and finished a respectable fifth out of a 24-horse field, losing to fellow contender Character Building. He finished third in the Country Gentleman's Handicap Chase at Wincanton to a certain Neptune Collonges, but asideo from that hasn't really seen many victories since early 2007. He did beat out Nine De Sivola (who is also on the ante-post card for Grand National) but that was April 2007 at Fairystown and a lot has happened since then. BUTLER'S CABIN BETTING TIPSIt appears as though his best days were back in 06 when he put together a number of excellent runs and triumphed over some very solid competition. He beat Character Building at the 2007 National Hunt Chase Challenge Cup at Cheltenham and nearly beat Exotic Dancer on a few different tries. Always a bridesmaid, it seems. I would be hesitant before I dropped anything on Butler's Cabin. I just don't see how he gets a win in this race, especially up against solid competition like Black Apalachi and Big Fella Thanks. Form is so important in the Grand National and that's exactly what Butler's Cabin lacks at the moment. Granted, if he looks good in training before the race, that could change the equation somewhat, but I just don't see how he gets the victory without a lot of help. 12/1 is way too short for Butler's Cabin.
