Manchester United have just added Alexis Sanchez to their ranks and they have plenty of potential here to do some really good moves going forward with their top manager Jose Mourinho.
Look ahead at the Red Devils line-up and you get the feeling that they will probably be focusing more on the Champions League since they look unlikely to win the English Premier League unless they can somehow make up a 12 point gap on their cross-town rivals Manchester City.
You’re going to see players like Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic looked at as being the marquee players but it really could be their emerging players like Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial that really propel them forward in the Champions League 2018 competition.
Juventus are always an interesting shout in the Champions League and they can be backed at a price as high as 20/1 and that’s not exactly a bad piece of business - particularly if you can find a bookmaker who will let you back them on an each-way basis - paying out half their odds if they wind up making the final. They have plenty of solid players and can give any side in Europe a genuine go if they are showing up ready to play.
Spurs remain in the mix here too and they can be backed at a 25/1 price with a number of major bookmakers. Chelsea are priced identically and look better value than Spurs, you would have to think. Roma are a 50/1 margin and then you’ll find the next shortest priced team is FC Porto at a price as high as 125/1.
