Champions League Betting Preview PT 1

We have the final round of the Champions League Group Stages finally set to unfold this week and a few different groups still require the final match to sort themselves out. These types of contests are always a bit tricky since teams often choose to rest first choice players if they already have their qualification guaranteed and the fixture becomes a dead rubber.

It does present opportunities because sometimes these are baked into the odds and sometimes they aren’t. 

There are a few contests on Tuesday which really do catch the eye and you’ll find that the Inter Milan vs Barcelona match-up jumps off the page with the bookmakers seemingly thinking that the Italian side could wind up being the choice here with an odds-on price of 8/13. 

Barcelona can be backed at a 9/2 price and it’s not often you can find them trading at such high odds. There will be a lot of potential match winners on the pitch in this one and goals could wind up coming from literally everywhere. 

Liverpool are away to Salzburg and they can be backed at an odds-on price for the victory. They are available at a listing of around 9/10 at the time of this writing with the host side available around an 11/4 listing with several top bookmakers. Liverpool have not been quite the force they are in the English Premier League during their Champions League match-ups this season.
