We are still a couple of weeks away from The Knockout stages kicking off in Europe's top club competition and the Champions League always serves as one of the most welcome midweek distractions in the entire world of sport.

Liverpool fire trading as the second favorite to win the Champions League this season and Bayern Munich in Barcelona round out the other top four clubs that are widely expected to outperform their competition.

Manchester City are trading at a 4/1 price to secure the champions league and that has been the brass ring for them for some time, having won virtually everything else that they could be expected to win, but still without that major European victory since their acquisition by the Abu Dhabi Consortium.

There was a lot to like about their style of play and they seem to have acknowledged the fact that they will not be challenging for the top spot in the English Premier League this season and will likely to vote virtually all of their time and efforts towards capitalizing on this massive opportunity to lift the Champions League trophy at the end of the tournament.
