The first two contests will see Atletico Madrid hosting Liverpool and the visitors are coming in as the outright favourites. They haven’t had the easy ride in Europe that they’ve had in the English Premier League so far and there is every chance that Atletico could give them some trouble in this contest. 

Liverpool are coming into the contest trading as the 13/10 favourites to get the result in the first leg and you can bank on their high-tempo strikeforce being able to get behind the Atletico defence. One gets the feeling that the first goal in this game is going to tell you who’s going to get the victory. 

There is plenty to like about Liverpool’s style of play and they have every chance to get the victory. If they can put three past Atletico and keep their defence solid then they may be able to effectively end the tie in the opening leg. 

The Spanish side can be backed around a 21/10 listing and that’s decent value if you fancy Liverpool to take their foot off the gas in this match-up. The draw can be backed around a 9/4 price but you reckon that both sides will fancy the victory in this one.
