Champions League Latest Betting Tips PT 1

We've got the final round of Champions League action unfolding this week as the Group Stages are nearly done. A few of these groups are already done and dusted with a few of these fixtures being dead rubbers that basically make them interesting wagering opportunities because you are forced to wonder whether the team that is already through will send out a full-strength line-up or whether the already-vanquished minnows will bother to really commit themselves and get stuck in, knowing that they have already crashed out of the competition.

Arsenal take on FC Basel and, even though they are away from home and don't exactly boast a frightening away record in the Champions League, they go into this one as the distinct favourites to get the victory with the bookmakers floating them at about a 6/5 price to get the better of their continental counterparts.

Look for Basle at a price hovering around a 5/2 margin to get the result while the draw can be backed as high as an 11/4 price tag.

Arsenal will be looking to pick up some domestic steam after putting together a workmanlike performance here since they are heading towards a very crunch period in the English Premier League as the holiday fixtures draw near. Expect them to look to this match as a way to draw the side closer together as they seek to push on from fourth place in the league, having already qualified for the Champions League group stages.

Bayern Munich vs Atletico Madrid certainly looks like one of the more appealing contests that's going to be unfolding and you'll find the German side trading at an 8/13 listing to get the victory in front of their home fans. That's interesting because Atletico have qualified with two wins in hand on Bayern Munich.

The Spanish club sit on a perfect record of 15 points from 5 Champions League match-ups and Bayern sit on a mere 9 from 5 fixtures. Look for this one to be a rather interesting upset opportunity with Atletico priced as high as a 6/1 margin for the away victory.

Both sides have qualified for the next stages of the competition seeing as though FC Rostov are only on 4 points total and PSV Eindhoven boast just a single point from their entire Champions League campaign.
