CHAMPIONS LEAGUE MARCH 10 BETTING TIPS

Bayern Munich vs Sporting Lisbon: This one is effectively over with Munich having mounted an epic second-half performance to triumph over Sporting 5-0 away. Frank Ribery and Luca Toni both factored heavily into the equation and I can see them resting a few players here. Sporting aren't going to score 6 goals so I can't see any reason for Bayern not to rest some of their match-winners. This will be all about containment for Munich and I'm backing them to get the job done. 2-1 to Bayern Munich pays 7/1 @ Paddy Power. Juventus vs Chelsea: This one is going to be very juicy with Chelsea holding the narrowest of leads heading to Turin. Ranieri, taking on his old club, has publically announced that he will go hunting for an early goal and you have to admit what a gamble that really is. If Chelsea notch a goal before half-time the tie is effectively over. Drogba looks in good form as of late and he will be difficult for the Italians to contain. I like Chelsea in this one, but I think they will concede. 1-1 to Chelsea pays 5/1 @ Paddy Power. Liverpool vs Real Madrid: Liverpool really answered a few questions about their credentials when they beat Real Madrid away 1-0. As good a victory as that was, it is by means a formality for Rafael Benitez's men. They are so reliant on Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres, you really can't understate it. Question marks are still hanging over Torres and Gerrard looks like he has a hamstring problem. That's a big issue for Rafa because he will also have one eye on Saturday's fixture with United. If Liverpool lose against Real, they're out of the Champions League and if they lose on Saturday, they're effectively out of the Premiership race. Rafa Benitez team sheet will confuse many tomorrow and I'm backing Real Madrid to take this to extra time. 1-0 to Real Madrid pays 6/1 @ Paddy Power. Panathinaikos vs Villareal: The yellow submarine take on the perennial Greek contingent. There is really all to play for here with Pana holding a slim edge thanks to the away goal scored by Karagounis. Late bookings to Senna and Angel may complicate things but I think Villareal should be able to nick this one. It won't be easy, but I'm going to back them to win this 1-0 which pays 6/1 with Paddy Power.
