CHAMPIONS LEAGUE PREDICTIONS AND ODDS FOR WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 29
We’ve got a slate of first-rate fixtures set to kick off this evening as a number of Europe’s marquee clubs will be in action. There are also some great accumulator betting opportunities if that’s your type of thing.
Rubin Kazan vs Barcelona is shaping up to be an away victory for the Spanish side if the bookmakers are to be believed. You can get a 4/6 price on Lionel Messi and the lads, while the host side are trading at a 9/2 price. The draw can be had at a 13/5 price tag, but you reckon that the bulk of the volume will be on the Catalan club. Russia is a tough away fixture though so keep that in mind.
Hapoel Tel-Aviv vs Lyon looks like a victory for the French side, although the odds do indicate something of a toss-up. You can back the Israeli’s at 9/4 and the draw is trading at the same price. A victory for the visitors is rewarding at 5/4.
Inter Milan vs Werder Bremen is favouring the Italian side with a short price of 4/7. Werder Bremen boast a number of talented players but they don’t look to be playing their best stuff at the moment. You can get an 11/2 price on the Germans while the draw trades at 11/4.
Panathinaikos vs FC Copenhagen shows the Greeks at even money while the Danes can be backed at a 3/1 listing. The draw is priced at 9/4 and that sounds about right here.
Rangers vs Bursaspor appears to be going in the direction of the Scottish side although the bookies have posted them as the lukewarm 11/10 favourites against the visitors at 13/5. You can lock in a 23/10 price tag on the draw and you must admit that this is a do-or-die fixture for the Glasgow side.
Schalke vs Benfica looks a toss-up with the Germans at 8/5 and the Portuguese at a 9/5 price. A draw is listed at 11/5 and this one looks like one of the toughest calls of the evening. Definitely one for the in-play punters.
Tottenham vs FC Twente could be a very winnable match for Harr Redknapp’s men and Bet365 is pricing them at an odds-on price to win at 5/6 while FC Twente trade at a lengthy 7/2. A 5/2 price is floated for the draw but you fancy Spurs to bounce back here- it’s just a matter of which Tottenham side turns up.
Valencia vs Manchester United might be the pick of the crop this evening and the Spanish side are getting the 8/5 edge while Sir Alex Ferguson’s men trade at 15/8. The draw is at 21/10 and United don’t exactly have the best of records in Spain so caution is probably the order of the day here.
