Champions League Semi Final Betting Tips PT 1

Tuesday sees the kick-off between Bayern Munich and FC Barcelona in the second leg of their Champions League clash to determine who will actually stake their claim to a place in the final. Following a very thorough Barcelona performance in the first leg last week, virtually everybody expects the Catalan club to see themselves through to the next stage of the competition.

While there is still 90 minutes of football to be played and Barcelona only retain a 3-0 aggregate lead, the bookmakers seem more than confident that Lionel Messi & Co. are destined for a Champions League Final showdown - likely with Juventus as opposed to Real Madrid. 

However, anything can still happen here and the actual result for tonight is completely up in the air with the bookmakers pricing things right down the middle with each side in the 1X2 betting trading at a 13/8 price tag while the draw can be backed at a tempting 11/4. 

Obviously, Bayern are going to have to push ahead and try to get a result from this one and they do have the firepower to pull it off. Many of the players in this Bayern Munich side have the ability to turn a match on its head single-handedly so you know that three or four goals aren’t completely out of the question for the German team. 

The issue is whether or not they will concede one because shipping a goal to Barcelona would mean that they would now need five strikes to progress to the next stage of the competition and that’s really where you start to admit that you’re reaching pretty hard to find ways Bayern could progress.
