Champions League Top Goalscorer Betting

With the resumption of the Champions League just a couple of weeks away, we have a really exciting knockout stage to look forward to and also have a solid race for the golden boot. A number of top players have already made their stamp on the tournament so far and there are a couple who are really making a name for themselves or adding their immense stature.

Right now, punters will find Erling Haaland available as the top choice from the bookmakers to score more goals than anybody else in the tournament and he’s sitting on six goals at this stage as his Borussia Dortmund team have played some great stuff so far.

He’s a lukewarm favourite with a price hovering around a 9/2 margin at this stage and much will depend on how far his side actually get into the tournament. Typically, you need your side to get into the semi-finals at least in order to be able to have a bash at the Golden Boot (or scoring 5 goals in a game but how often does that happen).

Robert Lewandowski is probably the most likely player on paper to win the golden boot and his Bayern Munich side are the favourites to win the tournament as well. You’ll find him priced around a 5/1 margin right now with several top bookmakers. Right now, he’s only got 3 goals but that could change very quickly once play resumes.

Neymar is in the mix here with an interesting price of around 11/2 and his PSG side are looking likely to make a big impression on the competition. He’s tied with Haaland with 6 goals notched so far and he could be set to keep that good run of form going. Cristiano Ronaldo can be backed anywhere from 13/2 all the way to 8/1 in order to win the Golden Boot on what could be his final season in Europe.

Alvaro Morata can be backed around a 10/1 margin and he’s sitting on six goals as well so far. Lionel Messi is also in the mix with a solid price of around 14/1 all the way up to 18/1.
