Championship Weekend Betting Preview Part 3
- By Allan Pederson on April 26, 2013 18:33 GMT
Huddersfield sit on 54 and still potentially able to go down while there is a slew of teams sitting on 55 points - they include Burnley, Blackpool, Sheffield Wednesday and Millwall who simply need two points to ensure survival. If Wolves and Barnsley and Peterborough win the remainder of their games - things could get very interesting very quickly for these other contenders.

This makes the Wolves vs Burnley fixture look especially interesting on Saturday with Wolves getting the slim edge for the much-needed home victory. They will have their eye on results going their way in other contests but the 13/10 price shows the bookmakers are at least slightly confident in their ability to get the job done here. The draw and the Burnley victory are both priced at 11/5.
In regards to outright relegation betting, Barnsley can be backed at 4/9 for the drop while Wolves are trading at 4/6. Peterborough are the next shortest-priced option at 5/6 while Huddersfield are trading at 5/1. The odds then take a significant jump to 25/1 for Sheffield Wednesday.
Hull are trading at 1/14 for promotion to the Premier League while Watford look to be the second favourite and the most likely to come out of the play-offs. The bookmakers have them floating at a 9/4 price tag while Brighton can be backed at 11/4.
Crystal Palace are a solid 4/1 price tag while Bolton is a 9/2 shot. Leicester City are available at 6/1 and Nottingham Forest - who remain in the hunt - can be backed at a lengthy 12/1 to pull off a fairytale promotion run.
The Saturday Championship Accumulator, which takes advantage of some very generous prices - not a single price all day is odds-on - will feature Brighton (13/10) x Hull (7/5) x Crystal Palace (8/5) @ 13/1.
