CHELSEA 2010/11 PREMIER LEAGUE ODDS AND BETTING PREDICTIONS

The defending Premier League Champions are in pole position to win back to back titles as virtually all bookmakers have listed Carlo Ancelotti’s side as the outright favourites. The London side are still out there looking for new signings while having retained the vast bulk of their experienced players.

In fact, William Hill considers Chelsea the only side in the Premier League above even money NOT to win any trophies. If Chelsea get skunked this year they are paying out at 23/20 while Manchester United are odds-on to win nothing with a 4/5 listing- some food for thought, definitely.
Chelsea’s odds to win the 2010/11 Premier League are priced at 13/8.
A Premier League and Carling Cup double can be backed at 9/1 and that seems about right to me. A Premier League and FA Cup double rewards at 10/1 while a Premier League and Champions League double is a mere 11/1. I think Chelsea face a real uphill struggle to win the Champions League this year so I think that one is priced a bit short.
Should Chelsea win the FA Cup and Carling Cup, you’ve got 20/1 while a Carling Cup and Champions League score pays out at the same margin.
Chelsea’s odds to win a Premier League, FA Cup and Carling Cup treble are priced at 50/1 while a Premier League, Carling Cup and Champions League treble is at 66/1. Should Chelsea effectively win the lot, they are priced at 150/1 for a Premier League, FA Cup, Carling Cup and Champions League quadruple.
Didier Drogba is listed as the 4/1 favourite to win the top goalscorer title this year with Wayne Rooney being his chief competitor with a 5/1 price and Fernando Torres trading at 13/2. Frank Lampard is at 25/1 to be the top goalscorer while Nicolas Anelka is short-priced at 20/1. Florent Malouda is trading at 33/1.
If you fancy the Premier League to finish Chelsea – Manchester United – Manchester City – Arsenal then you’re looking at a 6/4 payout. That’s the favoured lineup for the top four and I think there is definitely some money to be made betting against Manchester City this year.
