Chelsea are 7/2 not to occupy top spot for rest of season

Chelsea are 7/2 not to occupy top spot for the duration of the premiership season, according to Ladbrokes. And £30 million misfit Andriy Shevchenko is 7/4 to start the next campaign away from Stamford Bridge. The Ukrainian, who was a 9/2 chance to finish top of the goal scoring charts pre season, is now a mammoth 25/1.Ladbrokes spokesman, Nick Weinberg, said: "Shevchenko has been the biggest disappointment in premiership history. The punters who backed him at the start of the season must be cursing their luck. At this rate he'll have his work cut out to make it into double figures."The under fire forward is 1/2 to score 10 or more goals in the premiership this season. Portsmouth goalkeeper, David James, is 6/4 to be named in a Euro 2008 qualifying squad, following a string of fine performances for Pompey. The former West Ham and Man City stopper is 5/1 to appear at some point in the Three Lions' campaign.Chris Coleman has been backed into 7/1, from 25/1, to be the next premiership manager to go. Newcastle boss, Glenn Roeder, is the even money favourite, from 4/5, whilst Stuart Pearce and Alan Pardew are 7/2 and 5/1 respectively.Charlton new boy Les Reed is 25/1 to be shown the door first.Weinberg added: "Punters wasted no time getting stuck into Chris Coleman after Fulham went down at home to Reading, backing his price into 7/1."The re-emergence of Kieron Dyer has rejuvenated an ailing Newcastle side. You get the impression that the fate of Roeder is inextricably linked to the talismanic Dyer's ability to remain injury free."LATEST BETTINGChelsea not to occupy top spot this season 7/2Shevchenko to be at Chelsea for the start of next season?Yes 2/5No 7/4Shevchenko to score 10 or more Premier League Goals 1/2Top premiership scorerDidier Drogba 9/4 Thierry Henry 11/4 Wayne Rooney 5/1 Louis Saha 6/1 Andy Johnson 7/1 Dirk Kuijt 20/1 Andriy Shevchenko 25/1 Darren Bent 25/1 Kanu 25/1 Frank Lampard 40/1 Aiyegbeni Yakubu 66/1 Bobby Zamora 100/1 David James specialsto be named in a Euro 2008 squad 6/4to appear in a Euro 2008 qualifier 5/1Next premiership manager to go?Glenn Roeder evens Stuart Pearce 7/2 Gareth Southgate 4/1 Alan Pardew 5/1 Chris Coleman 7/1 Mark Hughes 14/1 Rafa Benitez 20/1 Les Reed 25/1 Sam Allardyce 33/1 Aidy Boothroyd 40/1 Harry Redknapp 40/1 Jose Mourinho 40/1 Neil Warnock 40/1 Paul Jewell 50/1 Steve Coppell 50/1 Arsene Wenger 66/1 David Moyes 66/1 Martin Jol 66/1 Martin O'Neill 66/1 Sir Alex Ferguson 66/1
