Chelsea vs Manchester City
Chelsea, unbeaten at home in all competitions so far this season, entertain Man City at Stamford Bridge on Sunday and are as short as 2/11 with some bookmakers to collect all three points.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Indeed, it would be a shock if The Blues - 11 points ahead of nearest pursuers Man Utd in the Premiership at the time of writing - fail to dispatch with a team that was beaten 2-0 by the league's tail-end Charlie's, West Brom, in their last away fixture. Jose Mourinho's charges have repeatedly refuted conjecture that they will falter under the pressure and drop points. They have discovered the art of winning even when they are not at their best - which is the mark of genuine champions. The coach has instilled a level of self-belief within his side that has made them compete as though immune to fatigue, thus enabling them to play with the same level of enthusiasm and verve consistently throughout the season - in all competitions. As far as City are concerned, they have a propensity to fluctuate from the sublime to the ridiculous: A 1-1 draw at Highbury was followed by an embarrassing F.A. Cup exit at the hands of lowly Oldham Athletic; and a 3-1 drubbing of Crystal Palace was followed by the defeat at West Brom. It is this innate lack of consistency that has hindered Kevin Keegan's men this season. To their credit, however, City are the only side to have lowered The Blues' colours in the Premiership this season; an eleventh-minute penalty converted by Nicholas Anelka, who has recently defected to Turkish side Fenerbache, was the difference between the two sides when they met at Maine Road in October. Also, City have demonstrated that they can rise to the occasion: they have left Old Trafford, as well as Highbury with a highly respectable draw this season. In terms of betting opportunities,Blue Square are offering a whopping 5-4 about Didier Drogba getting on the scoresheet. All other firms go odds on for the forward. Drogba is a deadly predator in front of goal and, with Damien Duff and Arjen Robben likely to provide an abundance of ammunition, it will be surprising if the Frenchman does not get on the score sheet. Furthermore, of the nine goals scored in the Premiership by Drogba, seven of them have come at Stamford Bridge. 2pt Didier Drogba in Anytime Goalscorer market @ 5/4 (Blue Square)
