Both men are 50 years of age, but it is the Portuguese who has enjoyed the biggest amount of success in the global game with Champions League victories and stints at some of the world’s top clubs like Inter Milan, Real Madrid and (of course) Chelsea.
The Blues go into their fixture against United as the distinct favourites to get the victory in front of their home fans - the vast majority of bookmakers have them trading at odds-on to get the victory with a price hovering around 4/5 with most major European betting outfits.
The other interesting aspect is that Chelsea will have Nemanja Matic on the bench for this one - a big new signing who United were apparently chasing as well.
The major concern for Manchester United is their lack of striking options up front with both of their forward talismans missing this match-up. Wayne Rooney is out with a groin injury and the seemingly-perpetually injured Robin Van Persie continues to be out with a thigh strain.
Many are questioning Van Persie at the moment with a number of observers claiming that his issues are as much mental as they are physical.
