CHELSEA VS STOKE CITY 2010 PREMIER LEAGUE BETTING TIPS
Stoke City are a whopping 19.0 to derail Chelsea's bid to wrest the 2010 Premier League title from Manchester United. With Carlo Ancelotti's side listed at a microscopic 1.12 with Ladbrokes, you can understand why the price on the Potters is so high. After dropping a 2-1 result (a scoreline that flattered to deceive for Chelsea) to Spurs and losing John Terry, you start to wonder whether the wheels are starting to come off at Stamford Bridge.
They are justifiable favourites here (that's not really in question) but the issue is that Chelsea look vulnerable right now based on recent form and, with even the draw trading at 8.0, I expect a considerable amount of cash to float towards Stoke City- especially during the in-play betting if they can hold Chelsea off for the first twenty minutes or so.
Chelsea fans looking for better than even money on the result will have to back them at (-2.0) at a 2.1 price tag. Stoke (+2.0) are at 2.5 and that's not really a great bet because if Chelsea are going to win this one it's going to be by a considerable margin.
Chelsea are a mere 1.44 to win to nil while Stoke pays 19.0 to do the same- that's a terrible bet you can get them to win outright for the same price and you reckon that Chelsea should find the goal at least once. Chelsea are 8.0 to come from behind and win (more plausible than it sounds) and Stoke are at 34.0 to do the same.
Didier Drogba is at 1.4 to score at anytime and that indicates just how strong his performances have been this season. Nicolas Anelka is at 1.66 and he's been finding the net a little bit more lately, but that's still not a very hot price in my book. Frank Lampard is at 1.8 and that's also a bit too short.
Salomon Kalou is at even money anytime while Florent Malouda and Daniel Sturridge share a 2.37 price. Michael Ballack is interestingly-priced at 4.0.
Ricardo Fuller and Tuncay Sanli are at 5.0 anytime while James Beattie is my pick to factor into the equation and you'll find him at 5.5 to score anytime during the match.
Personally, I think that Stoke City will know by the end of the first 30 minutes whether they've got a shot at this one or not. I think the long throws from Rory Delap could be a major factor. Stoke will be looking for the scalp here and, at the prices on offer, they're worth a cheeky bet.
