Cheltenham 2007 Ladbrokes World Hurdle betting

Cheltenham 2007 Ladbrokes World Hurdle: Celestial Wave took a mysterious walk from 7-1 to 31-1 on Betfair last night for the Ladbrokes World Hurdle - but is now back into 8-1 for the race, with one punter trying to back her at 9-1 for £1,000 The fast progressing mare, a 5 length winner from Studmaster in a Grade 3 contest at Gowran Park last time, was backed at 509-1 on Betfair when the market first opened after last year's Festival - but, at one point last night on the exchange, it looked as though even that price would be exceeded. At 10.30pm, Celestial Wave was 32 to back on Betfair and the only order queuing up to back her was £2 at 800. However, the current Betfair betting appears to confirm that the rumours that forced the drift are just that - rumours. And seemingly wild and incorrect ones at that. Meanwhile, Black Jack Ketchum, once backed at 5-6 for the race on Betfair, continues to drift with every drop of rain - he now is available at 7-1. Betfair spokesman Tony Calvin commented: "Rumour can quickly become fact in this business. The market has now corrected itself and Celestial Wave is back into her correct price of around 8-1, but it will be interesting to see how her price fluctuates today, though." To win the Ladbrokes World Hurdle - Betfair bet: 7-2 Inglis Drever, 13-2 Blazing Bailey, 7-1 Black Jack Ketchum, 8-1 Mighty Man, Celestial Wave, 13-1 Kasbah Bliss.
