CHELTENHAM FESTIVAL BETTING TIPS DAY THREE LADBROKES WORLD HURDLE
We've got a lot of races on day three with significantly shorter fields so this might open things up again and shift the power back to the punters for the third day of the 2009 Cheltenham Festival. The Ladbrokes World Hurdle is one of the most anticipated races of any Cheltenham season, and that rings true for this year's edition where we have a fascinating three-way battle developing.Click here for your £25 free bet from Betfair! At the outset, Kasbah Bliss looks far too short at 11/10 and I don't think the punters will be piling on at the end with the value propositions looking much better. For the nearly-evens you'd get on Kasbah Bliss you'd do just as well to back the in-form Punchestowns (7/2). Personally, I'm very enamoured with the partnership between Big Buck's (13/2) and the irrepressible Ruby Walsh. Walsh had an outstanding Day 2, eclipsing A P McCoy as the jockey with the most momentum heading into the Gold Cup. Big Buck's outpaced Punchestowns at Cheltenham just over a month ago and despite a small blip when he unseated Sam Thomas at the final hurdle at Newbury in November, he has won nearly every race he's been involved in since the Jewson Novices' Handicap Chase at last year's festival. His lifetime hurdle record is certainly not 100%, but his recent form has been and I'm going to be backing Big Buck's each-way. Punchestowns has placed in every single hurdles race he's been involved in so it makes him an extremely attractive show-bet or part of a forecast with Big Buck's. I am extremely wary of Kasbah Bliss who is priced far too short for an equine not long on Grade one experience. Big Buck's and Punchestowns will rock the Kasbah. Mark my words.
