CHELTENHAM FESTIVAL DAY TWO TIPS AND PREVIEW BALLYMORE HURDLE
After a harrowing day for many punters at the 2009 Cheltenham Festival, the action is heating up for the second day's wagering as many are seeking to recoup losses endured after a number of widely-tipped favourites failed to get the job done. Personally, I'm looking at the Nightingale as the punters favourite in this one. Rated at 12/1 and with an excellent track record, this Paul Nicholls-trained wonder is a relatively mysterious member of his yard, but the way things have been running so far at the Cheltenham Festival; I think this one suits his style of racing. Christian Williams on top won't hurt either. Another widely-tipped runner is Karabak (7/2), who has never came in outside the top 3 in any race he's run. This Alan King protégé, owned by JP McManus, has never had Tony McCoy on top and that could factor into the equation by providing more questions than answers. Mikael D'Haguenet (7/2) has been an interesting proposition, and with Ruby Walsh on top you always have to give a second look. However, the value may not be there for many punters. This horse has already won two races this year with Ruby on top so you may see some late action towards this runner as we get closer to post time. Diamond Harry has been attracting attention as well and is listed at 9/2.
