CHELTENHAM FESTIVAL DAY TWO TIPS AND PREVIEW CHAMPION CHASE
The Queen Mother Champion Chase represents one of the last big favourites yet to be defeated. Master Minded has been at less than evens for more than a month and this Paul Nicholls masterpiece has plenty of festival experience, having won this exact race last year in very similar conditions. A win over Petit Robin in the Victor Chandler Chase has done a lot for short-term confidence as well. We've seen some heavily favoured horses get an absolute hiding at the festival this year, but Master Minded is of a different class. There isn't much value there, so many are shifting their bets towards forecasts and show bets. One of the most appealing parts about betting on this race is the relatively small field. Only 12 runners are still in this race and you won't find a single horse at below 10/1 aside from Master Minded who sits at 4/11. Big Zeb represents a departure from Master Minded and is a quite different style of runner. I'm not sure if the ground conditions give him anything extra but he may very well factor into your forecast bets. Keep your eye on Timmy Murphy on top of Well Chief at 14/1 who I believe may drift shorter as we get closer to post.
