CHELTENHAM RACES DAY THREE TIPS AND PREVIEW RYANAIR CHASE

An extremely interesting proposition this Ryanair Chase and I fancy the favourite in this one with Voy Por Ustedes (11/10) set to run a real blinder. Normally, I would say back this horse below evens, but what is really complicating this matter for the punters is the presence of two top-notch competitors- Imperial Commander (6/1) and Our Vic (6/1).Click here to get your FREE BET up to £100 from Blue Square!I have been a big fan of Imperial Commander for quite some time, he showed resilience to defeat Barbers Shop in the Paddy Power Gold Cup back in November, but the Twiston-Davies yard hasn't exactly been having the best festival and the yard form does factor into the equation here. Imperial Commander only ran twice in 2008 and is yet to run this year. His clock was thoroughly cleaned by Kauto Star in late December as well- an example of his lack of form in the upper echelons. 6/1 is too short, but he has a big name so that may sway some late action in his direction. Our Vic is a bit of a different story. He's defending his Ryanair Chase credentials again this year where he defeated Mossbank by a wide margin and then built on top of that with an outstanding victory over Kauto Star at the totesport Bowl Chase at last year's Aintree Grand National. This is a horse that knows how to win things and you don't usually get a chance to back a horse that's defending a Cheltenham title at 6/1 odds. I say jump all over this one if you don't think Voy Por Ustedes has what it takes. Fresh from a Grade 1 victory at Ascot last month, Voy Por Ustedes has rightfully claimed his position in the top ten horses in English jumps racing. His partnership with Robert Thornton has born fruit and I firmly expect him to perform, the only question is whether he can regain 1st place if Our Vic jumps out to a quickfire lead. He was outclassed last year in the Queen Mother Champion Hurdle losing out to Master Minded. Keep that in mind.
