CHEVRON WORLD CHALLENGE BETTING TIPS AND PREDICTIONS
The Chevron World Challenge is boasting some of the most impressive names in golf including Justin Leonard, Vijay Singh, KJ Choi, Mike Weird, Jim Furyk and Fred Couples. A good portion of them are taking to the fairways this Thursday for the first round of match play. MATCH BETTING888sport is an excellent destination for golf betting and they've got a number of different markets listed for the Chevron World Challenge. In the Tournament matches section, you'll find some relatively decent odds (especially if you're backing a tie), but there really isn't too much value to be had here, with most matches being listed at a straight 10/11. Mike Weir is the only player to pay out above evens with an 11/10 coming from some bookmaker who obviously doesn't think too much of the Canadian. I can see Furyk, Weir, Leonard, Weekly and Stricker as the likely candidates to win their first rounds. OUTRIGHT WINNERIn terms of outright winner, the leaders include Vijay Singh, Anthony Kim, Camilo Villegas, Jim Furyk and Kenny Perry who are all listed at 7/1. Fred Couples is the caboose here, listed at a distant 40/1. I would rule out Kim, Villegas and Perry from those top contenders and I think this one really could come down to Vijay or Furyk. Betting on Top American, Top Non-American and Top Debutant is available with Furyk (4/1), Vijay/Villegas (11/4) and Kim/Villegas (7/4) leading their respective groups. RECOMMENDATIONS: Outright Winner- Back Singh and Furyk @ 7/1 with 888sport.Top American- Hedge your Vijay bet by backing Furyk here at 4/1. Justin Leonard at 8/1 represents some good value with 888sport.Top Non-American- Vijay, Vijay, Vijay @ 11/4 with 888sport.Top Debutant- I'm bucking the trend and backing Boo Weekley at 4/1 with 888sport.
