COMPLETE TRANSFER BETTING GUIDE FOR SUMMER 2010 WITH UP TO THE MINUTE ODDS

Now that the World Cup is done and dusted, we've still got a few weeks before the English Premier League season kicks off. Traditionally, we've always filled in this short period with one of the most entertaining periods of the football year- ridiculous transfer rumours.

If you're looking to make cash from chaos on the potential big-money moves this summer then you're definitely in luck, as this year's edition of transfer betting odds are much more expansive than last year.
The return on investment is going to be based around how outlandish your wager is and how specific it's going to be. At Betfair, you are simply wagering on a player to stay or not. On a site like Skybet you have an option to predict where the player will go specifically. If you're looking to spread your bets out a bit, I suggest backing a combination of the two different types of wagers.
Cesc Fabregas, Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard are the three biggest potential transfers in the English game. Betfair seems confident that Cesc Fabregas is on his way out, pricing the "No" option in the "Fabregas to Stay" market at a 1.83 price. He pays out at 2.12 should he remain at Arsenal. Being photographed in a Barcelona shirt probably had a little bit to do with the high price on the "yes".
Betfair is confident that Steven Gerrard will stay at Liverpool, pricing him at 1.39 to remain and 2.96 to leave. Fernando Torres commands similar odds with a 1.4 price to stay and a 2.5 margin to leave.
Zipping over to Skybet, we've got Manchester City odds-on to sign James Milner during this summer transfer window at a 2/5 listing. He is 4/1 to go to Chelsea and 16/1 for Liverpool and Manchester United.
Joe Cole is currently favoured to go to Liverpool and you'll find the former Chelsea midfielder listed at an odds-on price of 10/11 to head to Anfield. He's 15/8 to go to Spurs (I think that's a great price) while Arsenal are also at a 15/8 margin.
Skybet have priced Cesc Fabregas at a miniscule 1/8 to head to Barcelona, but I think that's a bit too short based on the cash-flow problems at Barca currently.
Robbie Keane's odds to transfer this summer are leaning towards Aston Villa at an 11/8 price- I think he would be a great fit there and add a bit of a different element to the side. He is 3/1 to stay at Celtic.
Robert Green, coming off a nightmare World Cup, is listed at 9/4 to join Arsenal and 5/1 to join Schalke 04.
Stephen Ireland impressed for the bulk of last season but his odds of a big-money move look to be lengthening with Aston Villa listed as the 11/4 favourites. Arsenal are trading at a 7/2 price alongside Manchester United.
Luis Fabiano had a solid performance in South Africa and he is priced at 9/4 to head to AC Milan while Manchester United are priced at 11/4. I think with Javier Hernandez signing for United that they likely won't be in the market for another striker and are probably scoping out a strong attacking midfielder.
David Luiz is odds-on to arrive at Manchester City this summer, priced out at a slim 4/11. Mario Balotelli is also being linked with City and he's trading at 15/8 at the moment.
Brede Hangeland is odds-on to transfer to Liverpool from Fulham and I think that's a decent acquisition for the Kop side. He trades at a 4/5 price.
Javier Mascherano's odds to join Inter Milan are quite short with a 4/6 price giving plenty of confident that he is set to re-join Rafa Benitez. Bastian Schweinsteiger is 7/2 to join Manchester City and 16/1 to join Manchester United. Steve Pienaar is listed at a solid 7/4 to wind up at Tottenham this summer while Manchester United are listed at 11/4.
